I agree that every employee is different. Maybe a short written “personality contract” could be useful for particular individuals, but not for others.

A team README is a neat idea. There are some teams here at Brandwatch that have done that, but I don’t think I have any permission to share them.

You can facilitate a session that establishes what the team’s values are and document them, and that’s a another way of orienting a new member of staff in the team. Some teams may like to move fast and break things, but some may prefer more considered approaches with more peer review. It’s good to have that noted. 😀

I believe that James Da Costa did this with his team — I wonder what his thoughts are on the process.
